The Interview

dt>Please ignore whichever questions offend you, or make up some nice creative silly answers to them.
dt>What is your name (real, project, pseudonym, whatever...)?

Dave of Zenopede

dt>Who has influenced you the most?

Generally or just musically?

I don't know. I don't think there's been one major influence.

dt>Where do you do your recording/sampling/etc?

I do my recording in my special music cupboard or in Boz's attic at the top of the stairs. The sampling depends on the source.

dt>How would you describe your music?

I never do. I could try and come up with some clever 'Wire' type description but that would be bullshit because I never know what to say except that it's just the shit I do.

dt>When did you first start making music?

I don't remember, I think it was Thursday 23rd April 1654 during the great Stepney fire. I could be mistaken of course...

dt>Do you have a particular time (of day... year...) that you make music, and if so, when?

Not really, just when I get the time.

dt>Why do you make music?

Because if I didn't I'd probably go completely mad and kill a complete stranger or someone at work.

dt>What is your set up?

A couple of synths, two samplers and a bunch of FX. No PCs - that's strictly Boz's domain. It's mostly Roland gear.

dt>What piece of equipment would you have to immediately replace if it were lost or stolen or it blew up or something?

My miniature Zen garden with its three polished rocks. It's a puddle of serenity in an ocean of chaos.

dt>What mood are you usually in when you make music?

Depends on what's going on around me.

dt>How would you handle mainstream success?

Mmmmm... Zenopede, the stadium tour? I don't even consider it because it won't ever happen.
